Awesome Lego Star Wars Land Crawler

Everyone knows about the awesome LEGO Star Wars range, yet the Sand Crawler is often over looked.

Sure it’s no Millenium Falcon, Death Star or Star Destroyer, but the perhaps that’s why I like the Sand Crawler. It always struck me as being one of the more esoteric and otherworldly vehicle designs from the original trilogy.

But despite its obscurity, it’s not a bad model in itself and comes with a bunch of cool mini-figs, including a bunch of droid figs, as well as the Jawas themselves. From the outside, it’s quite impressive. The inside is not quite as good, perhaps being a little plain in terms of features and interior complexity. Given the size of the vehicle in the movie, I think maybe they could have pushed the size a little larger. You just don’t get  the sames sense of “giant thing traversing the wastelands” from this kit.

Having said that, it’s still got an awesome shape and is something every Star Wars and/or Lego nerd should consider.
